The Evolve Canine Academy (ECC) training process will introduce you to the skills that bring out the best in your dog and enhance your ownership experience. You will learn how to effectively motivate your dog to perform strategic behaviors and respond to your commands.  You will discover techniques for shaping desired behaviors while encouraging your dog to think independently. We will help you gain confidence in trusting your dog to behave responsibly in diverse environments. Just like us, dogs learn progressively in phases. Each phase of the growth process adds proficiency and performance potential. The goals you have for your dog will determine the level of training you want to work toward. In every phase, you will learn the importance of and effective applications of bonding, markers, shaping behaviors, leash pressure and proofing.

Satisfying dog ownership begins with obedience commands such as “sit, down, place” and leash manners. We will introduce you to marker training in addition to insuring basic skills such as potty training, crate familiarity and responsiveness to you as the owner.

As your dog masters the basics, more complex skills can be added. These skills include cooperative walking on a leash, being polite to new people and waiting at doors. In this phase, your dog will become more reliable and socially trustworthy.

In this phase, you and your dog will learn off-leash versions of “come, sit and stay, down and stay” as well as recreational play activities. You will notice quick obedience to your voice commands and eagerness to respond to your guidance.

Your dog is capable of complex behaviors when strategic training has been implemented. For the owner who desires advanced performance, we can help you learn comprehensive social and physical conditioning techniques. Your dog will be able to maintain obedience in a variety of situations and perform behaviors that add unique value to your life. These advanced behaviors can include a range of skills from service activities to personal protection. Our skilled trainers will work with you at this phase to design training that fulfills your goals for your dog.
